Our 2024/25 Residents' Survey is now open. If you are a Three Rivers resident, we would love you to have your say.

The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete and your responses allow us to understand what is important to you, what you think of the council, the services it provides, and the way the council is run.

Is there an issue you think we should be paying more attention to? What do you think about the services we provide? Perhaps you’re happy with the way we run things and think Three Rivers is a great place to live. Whatever your views, now is your chance to have your say.

Anyone who takes part in the survey online and indicates that they wish to be entered into the prize draw will be entered into the draw for a chance to win one of three £60 vouchers for Watersmeet in Rickmansworth. Please see the terms and conditions

  • The questions below are designed to provide us with an understanding of how residents rate the following areas:

    •  satisfaction with the local area
    •  satisfaction with the way the council runs things
    •  trust in the council
    •  responsiveness of the council
    •  how informed residents feel
    •  perception of the value for money the council provides


    This survey relates only to services provided by Three Rivers District Council. A number of services are delivered by Hertfordshire County Council and we are not asking you to comment on them. Below is an example of services provided by Three Rivers District Council and Hertfordshire County Council:

    • Benefits
    • Community safety
    • Planning
    • Housing needs and homelessness
    • Leisure services
    • Parks and green spaces
    • Public health and protection (air quality, odour and noise pollution and licensing)
    • Waste and recycling collections


     An example of the services Hertfordshire County Council provides are:


    •  Adult care and children's social care
    •  Highways and transportation (including street lights, traffic lights, potholes, gritting, road works and repairs, verge maintenance)
    •  Household Waste Recycling Centres (tip/dump)
    •  Schools admissions, free school meals and transport
    •  Trading standards
    •  Libraries
