Three Rivers District Council Transport and Parking Team are conducting a formal consultation into proposed parking restrictions on the off-street parking bays which have recently been constructed adjacent to School Mead. The newly constructed off-street parking bays will increase the parking capacity adjacent to School Mead, compared to the previous situation prior to any construction works. The 2-hour time limit on vehicle parking should also increase vehicle turnover from its current levels, whilst also allowing ample time for visitors to use the shops and other nearby amenities.
It is proposed to implement Limited Waiting restrictions (Monday-Saturday, 8am-6:30pm, 2 Hours, No Return within 2 Hours) within 20 parking bays on the eastern side of School Mead.
These measures are being proposed for the following reasons:
For preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
This scheme is being developed concurrently with the School Mead On-Street proposal
To view the Notice of Proposal, Statement of Reasons, Draft Traffic Regulation Order and the proposed plans please see the documents section on this page.
