Three Rivers District Council is consulting on the draft Rickmansworth Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan. The document has been prepared to identify and assess the special architectural, historic and townscape qualities that make Rickmansworth Conservation Area significant, and to help guide its future preservation and enhancement.
The appraisal examines the area's history and development, heritage assets, character areas, important views, open spaces and landscape setting. It also reviews the conservation area boundary, identifies opportunities for enhancement, and sets out management proposals to help ensure future change respects and reinforces the area's distinctive character. We welcome your comments on the draft appraisal and proposed recommendations before the document is finalised.

Public exhibition
There is a public exhibition of the Rickmansworth Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan where members of the public are invited to view the plan and discuss this with officers:
