As a result of inflationary pressures and to ensure that the licensing service is not impacted, all discretionary licensing fees and charges have been increased. These fees relate to taxi licensing, scrap metal, sexual entertainment and street trading.
As a result of the changes proposed the council is interested in seeking your views on the changes via a public consultation.
The proposed fees can be viewed under the Important Links section on the right hand side of this page.
Subject to comments received and their review, all fees relating to street trading will come into effect soon after the expiration of the consultation. All other fees will come into effect from 1 April 2024.

Following this licensing fee review, it has been agreed that all fees will come into effect. Street trading fees will come into effect on 12 February 2024 and all other fees will come into effect from 1 April 2024.
