Three Rivers District Council is developing a new Green Space Strategy and is inviting residents, visitors and stakeholders to help shape it through public consultation.

What does the Green Space Strategy include?

The strategy is divided into a vision, which encompasses the overall aim of the strategy. This vision is then broken down into four objectives that the council will prioritise.

What is the vision?

  • A great place for wildlife and people to thrive.

What are the objectives?

  • Access to high quality green spaces – provide welcoming green spaces for the enjoyment of all users
  • Resilient and adaptable – preserving valued green spaces and the habitats present for future generations, with a focus on climate resilience
  • Appropriately maintained – maintain green spaces in a way that achieves a balance between nature conservation and safe public access
  • Purposeful engagement – ensure informed decisions are made in partnership with local authority departments, external stakeholders and members of the public

How can you help us?
