Three Rivers District Council is developing a new Green Space Strategy and is inviting residents, visitors and stakeholders to help shape it through public consultation.
What does the Green Space Strategy include?
The strategy is divided into a vision, which encompasses the overall aim of the strategy. This vision is then broken down into four objectives that the council will prioritise.
What is the vision?
A great place for wildlife and people to thrive.
What are the objectives?
Access to high quality green spaces – provide welcoming green spaces for the enjoyment of all users
Resilient and adaptable – preserving valued green spaces and the habitats present for future generations, with a focus on climate resilience
Appropriately maintained – maintain green spaces in a way that achieves a balance between nature conservation and safe public access
Purposeful engagement – ensure informed decisions are made in partnership with local authority departments, external stakeholders and members of the public
How can you help us?
We’d love to find out more about how and why you use green spaces and what matters most to you. Please take the time to complete the short survey below to help us in creating a meaningful green space strategy.
