Abbots Langley Parish Council (as the qualifying body) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP), entitled “Abbots Langley Neighbourhood Plan” which sets out a vision for the future of the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally.
We are therefore seeking your views on the updated documents which seek to provide a more robust justification for the policies in the Neighbourhood Plan.
The consultation will run for a six week period from Wednesday 28 May 2025 until Wednesday 9 July 2025.
All representations must be received by the council by 5pm on Wednesday 9 July 2025.
At the end of the consultation period, the NDP will be submitted to an independent examiner together with representations received by the deadline and a summary of the main issues raised in the representations.
Representations may be accompanied by a request to be notified of the Local Planning Authority’s decision under regulation 19 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 in relation to the Sarratt Neighbourhood Development Plan.

Referendum

Following successful examination, the Neighbourhood Plan would be subject to a referendum within Abbots Langley as to whether the plan should be adopted by the council.
Adoption

Should the referendum result in support for adoption, Three Rivers District Council will formally adopt the Abbots Langley Neighbourhood Plan incorporating it into the council's Development Plan.
